"Why do I keep reacting this way?"

You already know how you want to respond.
But in the moment… you don’t.

So you say things you didn’t plan to say.
Shut down when you didn’t want to.
And replay it later wishing you’d handled it differently.

That’s not a lack of effort.
It’s a missing skill.

If you’re a Christian wife who feels more disconnected than close,
more discouraged than hopeful—
this will show you what’s actually driving your reactions
and how to change them in real time.

A 5-day workshop  where you will learn how to:

* understand what’s happening underneath your reactions
* bring God into the moment (not just after)
* respond with clarity—even when your emotions haven’t caught up

No pretending.
No forcing yourself to feel better first.
The Heart Scan Workshop $35
Because knowing better was never the problem
April 27-May 1

9-10 am CST

Live Zoom + Replays

Led by Jill Lillard, MA, LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor + Gottman Certified Therapist

Most women who come to this workshop know what’s true.
They just don’t understand why, in real moments, they still react the way they do.
If you’ve ever felt...

Like you’re living parallel lives under the same roof — close in proximity but miles apart

Like you’re carrying the weight of the relationship alone and resenting it

Like you know what you’re supposed to do — but in the hard moments it all disappears

Like something is slowly slipping away, and you don’t know how to stop it

Like you’ve settled into a version of marriage you never imagined you’d accept

... It’s not about trying harder

It's about having a process you can return to
when life gets hard.

You’re not stuck because you’re doing life wrong.

You’re stuck because something beneath the surface hasn’t been clearly seen yet.

Ideas like letting go of control, taking responsibility for yourself, and choosing love make sense in theory.

But when you feel hurt, dismissed, overwhelmed, or disappointed, it’s not always clear what those ideas look like in real time.
That’s exactly what this workshop is designed to help you do.
Instead of trying to manage your reactions or push through them, you’ll learn how to slow things down and actually see what’s happening inside you.

This workshop introduces a simple, biblically grounded process I call

The Heart Scan Process

How it starts to look like in real life.

This isn’t about becoming someone new.

It’s about understanding what’s happening inside you— so you can respond differently when it matters.

As you begin using the Heart Scan, you’ll notice:

  • You catch yourself before the moment becomes a conversation you’ll regret

  • You finally understand what’s been driving the same patterns in your marriage — and it’s not what you thought

  • You stop replaying conversations and start knowing what to do differently next time

  • You show up differently with your husband — not perfect, but present

  • You feel less like you’re managing your marriage and more like you’re actually in it

  • You take your next step even when the feelings haven’t caught up yet —

This is what it looks like to move forward with clarity.

What participants are saying...
Emily Daniels
Workshop Participant

“I used the Heart Scan in the middle of a hard conversation with my husband and for the first time I didn’t shut down.”

Rachel Jennings
Workshop Participant

“I finally understood why I kept pulling away — and it changed how I showed up with him that same week.”

Starry Green
Workshop Participant

I’ve tried everything. This is the first thing that actually made a difference in my marriage.”

The Heart Scan Process

The Heart Scan is a simple, four-part process you’ll learn and practice throughout the workshop.

It’s something you can return to anytime life gets hard—not just something you understand once.

Here’s how the process works:

EXPOSE  This is where we slow down and bring awareness to what’s actually happening inside you—your thoughts, emotions, and reactions—without judgment.

RENEW  Once you can see what’s going on, we explore new ways of understanding your situation through truth, perspective, and Scripture—without forcing yourself into “better” thoughts.

ENGAGE This step helps you stay present with your emotions and invite God into the middle of your experience- instead of pushing feelings aside or trying to resolve them too quickly.

PRESS ON Finally, you take intentional, faithful action—even when clarity feels incomplete, and your emotions are still catching up.

You won’t just learn these steps—you’ll practice them on real situations with guidance and support throughout the week
Why this workshop is different
Most resources give you one piece of the puzzle.

Some teach you how to think differently.
Some help you process your emotions.
Some point you back to your faith.
And all of those things matter.

But when you’re standing in your kitchen feeling hurt, dismissed, or completely shut down — knowing those things separately doesn’t tell you what to do right now.

That’s what the Heart Scan does differently.

It’s not another framework to memorize or a list of tips to try harder with.
It’s a process that brings your thoughts, your emotions, and your faith together — in the moment, when your marriage actually needs you to show up differently.

You’re not asked to override your feelings with truth.
And you’re not left sitting in them without direction.

You’re given a way through — one you can return to every single time life gets hard, your marriage feels distant, and you’re not sure what to do next.
This workshop is for you if...

  •  You love Jesus and you love your husband — but you don’t always love who you become in your marriage

  • You’ve prayed about it, talked about it, maybe even cried about it — and the same patterns keep showing up

  • You know what a godly wife looks like but can’t seem to find her in the hard moments

  • You’re tired of knowing better and still falling back into the same reactions

  • You want to meet God in the middle of the real, hard, unglamorous

You’re not waiting to feel better before you act.

You’re learning how to act faithfully, while you’re still feeling what you feel.

Keri, MN
Workshop Participant

“I didn’t realize how much I was contributing to the distance between us until this workshop. That was hard to see — and exactly what I needed.”

Workshop Participant

“Having a space to be honest and vulnerable reminded me that what we struggle with as Christians is common—and that we’re not alone."”

What you’ll experience inside the workshop

You’ve spent enough time understanding the problem.

This week, you actually do something about it.

In five days, you’ll learn the Heart Scan Process and use it on a real situation from your own life —
not a hypothetical, not someone else’s story.

Your marriage.
Your patterns.
Your next step.

You don’t just leave with insight.

You leave with something you can use the next time a hard moment shows up in your marriage —
which, let’s be honest, won’t be long.

Teaching + Support
  •  Five live one-hour sessions Monday-Friday
  • Teaching and live coaching in every call
  • Replay access if you can’t attend live
  • Lifetime access to the recordings

Application

  • A guided workbook that walks you through the Heart Scan Process
  • Daily exercises so you practice on real situations, not just theory
  • Scriptures woven throughout the teaching

Change doesn’t come from forcing yourself into peace.
It comes from clarity, presence, and practice.

You don’t need to feel ready to come

You don’t need to feel clear, calm, or put together. You don’t need to know exactly what you want to work on or have the right words yet.

You just need to recognize yourself somewhere on this page.

Because the distance you feel in your marriage, the patterns you can’t seem to break, the gap between who you want to be and who you become in the hard moments — that’s exactly what this week is designed for.

This is five days that could change how you show up in your marriage for the rest of your life.

For $35, that’s not a risk. That’s a decision.

Come as you are. The process will meet you there.

ABOUT YOUR HOST

Jill Lillard, MA LPC

Hi, I’m Jill.

For nearly 25 years I’ve sat with women and couples in some of the hardest moments of their marriages. As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Gottman Certified Therapist, I’ve seen what works — and more importantly, I’ve seen what doesn’t.

What I kept noticing was this: the women who came to me weren’t struggling because they didn’t love God. They weren’t struggling because they didn’t love their husbands. They were struggling because there was a gap between what they knew and what they could actually do in the moment when it mattered most.

They had the faith. They had the desire. They just didn’t have a process.

That’s where the Heart Scan came from. Not from a textbook — but from years of watching women try hard, pray hard, and still feel stuck in the same patterns in their marriages. I built this because I needed something to give them that they could actually use in the middle of a week when the distance felt unbearable, and they didn’t know what to do next.

My role in this workshop isn’t to fix you or push you toward an outcome. It’s to walk with you through a process so you can finally understand what’s happening inside you — and show up differently in your marriage because of it.

You don’t need to perform or prepare. You need to be willing to show up.

This work brings together:

  • a biblical perspective
  • brain science
  • and a way to renew your mind without dismissing your feelings

With over 25 years of experience, Jill helps women understand what’s happening inside them, respond with clarity, and move forward in their relationships with greater steadiness.

This is what changes.

In five days you’ll have a process you can use in under ten minutes — in the middle of a hard moment with your husband.

  •  Stop the spiral before it takes over
  •  Understand what’s actually happening inside you
  • Respond in a way you won’t regret

For the first time you’ll have something that actually works when it matters most.

Most women spend years in the same cycle — react, recover, repeat.

The Heart Scan gives you everything you need to start breaking it.

  • The tool.
  • The understanding.
  • The practice.

You came here as the wife who loves her husband but keeps getting in her own way.

You’ll leave as the wife who finally knows what to do in the moment that used to undo her.

Still Have Questions? I Have Answers!

You can also plan on 10-20 minutes of optional "grow-work" each day to help you practice what you are learning.

Yes! If you join my coaching program Clarity+Courage during this workshop, I will refund your fee for coming.

    Calls start at 7am PT| 8am MT| 9am CT| 10am ET

Replays are available for all calls.
  • Are there benefits for attending LIVE verses watching the replay?
Yes, each day on the live call, I will give away one 30-day trial membership to Clarity+Courage. (5 total) You must attend live to be eligible.

Also, you can volunteer to receive direct coaching from Jill about your specific problem. Attending live does not mean you have to be coached, but it is an option.
  • How does group coaching work?
This is where concepts turn into change.

During the live calls, you get to watch real coaching happen on real situations, and then apply what you’re seeing to your own life.

You do not have to volunteer to be coached. You can simply listen. Many people choose to do that and still get a lot of value.

If you are coached live, we focus on one specific situation you’re dealing with right now. Something concrete. We start where you are. You don’t need to explain everything or know where it’s going. I’ll direct the coaching. You only share what you’re comfortable sharing.

If you’re listening while someone else is being coached, this is what usually happens: you hear your own thoughts in someone else’s words. Something clicks. You get clarity without being in the hot seat. Many people say they get just as much from listening as they do from being coached directly.

You’re never required to share. You can stay muted, camera off, and just listen.

All calls are recorded and available for replay, so you can attend live or listen later when it fits your life.

Group coaching works because change happens when you see how someone else thinks, feels, and chooses differently—and realize you can do that too.
  • Do I have to have my camera on during the calls?
No. Your camera does not have to be on.

That said, I do love seeing faces, and I like the workshop to feel personal and connected. If you’re comfortable having your camera on, I’d love to see you.

If you’d rather keep your camera off, that’s completely fine. You’re still fully welcome and included.

If there’s a lot of movement or distraction on camera, you may be asked to turn it off so the space stays focused for everyone.

When you’re not speaking, you can keep your microphone muted.

The goal is a space that feels both human and respectful—connection without pressure.
  • Is this therapy?
No. This is coaching, not therapy.

That means we’re not diagnosing, treating mental health conditions, or processing trauma in a clinical way. We’re focused on helping you understand what’s happening for you right now, organize your thoughts and emotions, and choose intentional next steps.

That said, the work is thoughtful and emotionally informed. We slow things down. We pay attention to feelings. And we look at how your inner world is shaping how you’re showing up in your life and relationships.

If you’re currently in therapy, this can complement that work. If you’ve never been in therapy, you don’t need any prior experience to participate.

This is a space for clarity, insight, and forward movement—not diagnosis or treatment.
  • Is this faith-based?
Yes. This workshop is rooted in a Christian worldview.

Scripture, prayer, and a biblical understanding of the heart and transformation shape how I teach and coach. That said, this isn’t a Bible study, and you won’t be asked to perform spiritually or say the “right” things.

The focus is on honest self-examination, emotional clarity, and learning how to engage with what’s actually happening inside you—while staying anchored in your faith.

If you’re a Christian who wants practical tools that integrate faith and emotional health, you’ll feel at home here.
  • How is this different from just listening to the podcast?
The Happiest Lives Podcast gives you insight.
    The workshop gives you application.

In the workshop, you don’t just hear concepts—you watch them being used in real time on real situations. You see how someone takes a messy, emotional experience and slows it down, organizes it, and chooses a next step.

The live coaching, repetition over five days, and opportunity to apply the process to your own life are what turn awareness into change.

If the podcast helps you understand, the workshop helps you practice.
  • Why is this workshop so inexpensive?
Because I want as many people as possible to experience this work.

This workshop is intentionally priced at $35 so it’s accessible and easy to say yes to. It gives you a real taste of how I teach and coach, not a watered-down version.

I will also be sharing an invitation to join my ongoing coaching program, Clarity + Courage, at the end of the week. That’s on purpose. The workshop is designed to help you experience the process, not just hear about it, and then decide if ongoing support would be helpful for you.

There’s no obligation to join anything beyond the workshop.

The value of this week isn’t in the price—it’s in the access. Five live calls. Real coaching. A repeatable process you can use long after the week is over.

If you come just for the workshop, you’ll leave with clarity and tools you can keep using. If you decide to continue, you’ll already know exactly what you’re saying yes to.
